Investing your pension contributions
When you join your pension scheme, your contributions will be automatically invested in a default fund chosen by your employer. This means you’re invested from day one. You can find out what your default fund is by logging into your account.
Your employer will have chosen a default fund that they think best meets the average needs of their workforce, but it may not be the best fit for you. If you want more control over where your money is invested, you can choose a fund that’s more tailored to your needs.
There’s a wide range of options available, including our pre-built fund solutions, which make investing easier by offering a whole investment strategy conveniently packaged in just one fund.
You can choose from solutions that aim to grow your savings if you’re still a long way off from retirement, or find a solution that aims to provide you with an income in retirement.

If you want to keep all your savings in one place, you may also want to find out about investing in an ISA.
Please be aware that the value of investments can fall as well as rise and isn't guaranteed. You could get back less than the amount invested.
If you’re unsure about which fund or funds to invest in, you may want to talk to a financial adviser. You can find an adviser by using MoneyHelper.
