What happens if I currently have protection from the lifetime allowance charge?
Updated 23 December 2015
Retiready Pension is not designed to administer any protection from the lifetime allowance charge (for example primary protection, enhanced protection, fixed protection or individual protection). If you have any protection from the lifetime allowance charge, you should consider not transferring your benefits to a Retiready Pension.
If you have enhanced or fixed protection, any transfer you make to a Retiready Pension might not be a ‘permitted transfer’, in which case you’d lose this protection if you transfer to Retiready.
