Do I need a financial adviser?

No you don't need a financial adviser to have a Retiready account. This service is for people who want to take control of their retirement planning and choose their own investment without advice. We can’t give you advice. However, if there is anything you're unsure about you can find a financial adviser at unbiased.co.uk or for guidance speak to one of our associates at Aegon Assist.
If you have an adviser and you want them to have access to your Retiready account, we can arrange for them to have information only access. This means that, we can provide your adviser with information about your account by either post or on the phone, however we’re unable to give them direct access to your online account. To request that they have information only access, please complete the following stages:
- Complete and sign a Letter of Authority that your adviser will provide and includes:
- your full name and address, including postcode, and your Retiready plan number. If you don’t have a note of your plan number, please provide your National Insurance number and Date of Birth.
- the full company name and address and where possible the name of your adviser at that company.
- Please send your request to our mailbox email@example.com or by post to Retiready Client Services, 1-3 Lochside Crescent, Edinburgh Park, Edinburgh EH12 9SE.
Once your request has been received, we’ll contact you let you know this has been completed. We’ll then supply the necessary information to your adviser within five working days.
Please be aware that we’re unable to provide projections or illustrations to your adviser and that you’ll have access to these within your Retiready document library that you can share with them.
