What is self-investment option?

This means your investment choice is wider than just insured funds. It lets you choose from a wide range of investments. Under your current pension plan, you might have the option to make self-invested investments or you might have self-invested assets.
If you have the option to make self-invested investments under your current pension plan but you haven’t done this yet, you would lose the option if you transfer your pension to Retiready. If you have self-invested assets, they would need to be sold before a transfer to a Retiready pension could go ahead.
