How do I change the retirement age on my plan?
Updated 15 August 2024
To change your planned retirement age on your pension plan, you'll need to complete your Retiready score and sign in.
Once signed in, go to Goals then select Create a plan to get back on track or Experiment with your goals. From here, you can select your new retirement age by selecting Update your forecast and then Save as your goal plan.
When you select Continue you'll return to the Goals page. To fully update your change, select the to-do list that appears at the bottom of the screen and then confirm. If you don't complete this final step, your retirement age won't be saved.
Important things to remember:
- Changing your retirement age will alter the time you have to save for retirement and could impact the value of your fund at retirement.
- If you're invested in a lifestyle or Workplace Target fund, then this will automatically adjust based on your new retirement age.
- If you change your retirement age on your Retiready plan, it doesn't update any other pensions you have with us. You'll have to do this separately.
