How do I change my investment income choice (distribution choice)?
Updated 18 January 2024
With Aegon Retirement Choices (ARC), we offer income-generating funds that apply income from those investments into your wrapper’s cash facility.
You can choose how the income is treated. You have three options:
1. Remain in cash – this is the default we’ll use if you haven’t made a choice. All income will remain in the cash facility and should be reviewed on a regular basis.
2. Reinvest – any income is automatically reinvested into the investment.
3. Pay out as consolidated natural income – we’ll make a monthly payment to you, but only if income is received from investments. This is only available for individual savings accounts (ISAs) and general investment accounts (GIAs). You won’t be able to choose this option if you have a self-invested personal pension.
Investment income choices only apply to certain investments. Depending on your investments, the options might not be available to you.
To change your investment income choice, you need to log in to ARC. If you need help to activate or more information, visit our Support page.
Once you have logged in to ARC you can submit this request through Manage investment income. Investment income choices can't be made for new applications or top ups. We'll set the default choice for any income-generating funds to remain in cash.
Changing your investments could have an impact on the value of your investment. The value of an investment may go down as well as up, is not guaranteed and you may get back less than you have invested. For advice as to whether a fund is suitable for you, please speak to a financial adviser. If you don't have a financial adviser, you can visit moneyhelper.org.uk/choosing-a-financial-adviser to find the right one for you.
