How do I tell you who I’d like you to pay any remaining pension savings to on my death?
Updated 29 January 2025
Nominating your beneficiaries will let Aegon know who you would like any payment to go to and give you peace of mind that your wishes will be fulfilled. You can find details on how to do this online, in the About you section of Your profile on Retiready, your online account, or by completing a Nomination of beneficiaries form.
You'll need to complete a paper Nomination of beneficiaries form if you want to:
- Provide any additional details, for example additional instructions on how you want any pension savings to be paid out on your death.
- Nominate a trust or a charity.
By nominating beneficiaries, you are requesting that the administrator of your pension scheme takes your nominations into account when deciding how any remaining pension savings are distributed on your death. This isn't binding on the scheme administrator, but they will take your nominations into consideration when making their decision. You don't have to nominate beneficiaries, but it does help the scheme administrator if you do.
